About the role We are seeking a Full Stack Dev (Java/Angular) with 6 to 9 years of experience to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Angular JS AWS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript and mySQL.
Experience in the Cards & Payments domain is a plus.

In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain high‑quality software solutions using Angular JS AWS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript and mySQL to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement and test software applications that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Ensure the scalability and performance of applications by optimizing code and implementing best practices in software development.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining high system availability.
Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into our software development processes.
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software applications delivering high‑quality products to our clients.
Document software designs, technical specifications and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and support future development efforts.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance technical skills and contribute to the team's success.
What you need to be considered:
Possess a strong background in Angular JS AWS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript and mySQL with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Demonstrate experience in the Cards & Payments domain understanding industry‑specific challenges and opportunities.
Exhibit excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
Show proficiency in collaborating with cross‑functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Salary and Other Compensation: We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates.
The base salary for this position ranges between
$94,000 – $110,500 per yea r.
Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business‑related and job‑necessary qualifications.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance‑based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Working arrangements This is a Hybrid model role in Halifax - Nova Scotia - Canada.
